Why buy from MPD?

Which part is the HOOK and which is the LOOP?

The hook is the rougher, scratchy part and the loop is the softer, fluffy part. You will need both parts to make a fastening.

Why register as a member?

The benefits of registering your details are: 

Your contact details will be stored on our secure server so next time you sign in there will be no need to enter them again; you can, however, amend your contact information should any of the details change. If you have a different delivery address this will also be stored for recall next time.

Once you have registered and signed in using your chosen user-name and password, a 'My Account' link will appear on the home page giving you access to your contact and delivery information, it is here that any amendments can be made to your details.

Also shown on the 'My Account' page is a list of your previous orders with the option of viewing the full details of each order including billing and delivery address information, product quantities, price and even delivery method. Using the 'Order Again' button you can place your chosen order directly into the basket where you will be able to alter any of the product or address information if you need to.

As a member you will receive email notification of the special offers currently available on the site and also any additional 'members only' offers that may be available.

On all special offer emails you receive from us there will be an option to unsubscribe if you do not want to receive any further offers.

WE WILL NOT SHARE OR SELL YOUR DETAILS TO ANY THIRD PARTY

With such a wide variety of products available the choice can be a bit daunting, especially if your application requires specific characteristics regarding adhesive type or connection strength.  Give us a call on 01373 827111 and we will happily offer you the advice you need; if you call outside office hours (9.00am -5.00pm) please leave a message and we will get back to you.

How do I place my order with MPD?

You can order online through the website or, if you prefer the human touch, give us a call and we will be pleased to answer any questions you may have and take your order over the telephone.

If you have an approved credit account with MPD or you are a school, college or other local authority organisation we can accept faxed or e-mailed official orders without the need for pre-payment.

How will my order be delivered?

We use various delivery methods depending on order value; you will be able to select your preferred delivery method in the basket window:

For UK mainland customers

Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded Delivery

Although not guaranteed, deliveries are usually made during the next working day.  Guaranteed deliveries can be made via Royal Mail Special Delivery and can be specified for delivery before 9.00am or before 1.00pm.

FedEx

All consignments sent via FedEx are on a next working day service and are fully trackable through the FedEx website. Please note that orders placed on a Friday (before 3.00pm) will be delivered on the following Monday (Tuesday when Monday is a bank holiday), if you need a Saturday delivery please call us to check service availability;  Saturday deliveries are available to most destinations. Premium services include timed deliveries for before 9.00am, before 10.00am and before 12.00 noon, you can select the service you require in the basket.  Some of the 24hr and premium services may not be available to some areas of the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Scilly Isles, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

MPD / Collection

For our local customers we will often make the delivery ourselves; alternatively, you are welcome to collect your order from us. If you want to collect please select that option from the 'choose delivery method' box in the basket and use the 'delivery notes' box in the checkout section to tell us when you would like to collect.

For International customers

For deliveries outside the UK but within Europe we use the Royal Mail International signed for service and the international couriers UPS or DHL.

For deliveries beyond Europe please contact us for a carriage quote. 

How quickly will my order be despatched?

If we receive your order before 3.00pm, and the items you require are in stock, we will despatch your order the same day. If you have an urgent requirement and are unable to meet the 3.00pm order deadline, please give us a call and we will be able to let you know if immediate despatch is going to be possible.

What is the cost of delivery?

Cost of delivery will depend on the value of your order and whether you are buying from the trade or retail range. The price will change if you select an alternative delivery method in the basket.

UK mainland deliveries

Retail range delivery charges:

Total value of products £250.01 or more: Free delivery

Total value of products £75.01 - £250.00: £10.00 delivery

Total value of products £45.01 - £75.00: £7.50 delivery

Total value of products £15.01 - £45.00: £4.95 delivery

Total value of products up to £15: £2.95 delivery

Trade range delivery charges:

Total value of products £300.01 or more: Free Delivery

Total value of products £60.01 - £300: £10.00 delivery

Total value of products £25.01 - £60: £7.50 delivery

Total value of products up to £25: £3.95 delivery

All figures quoted are exclusive of VAT. If your order contains items from both the trade and retail ranges the trade range delivery charges will apply.

Europe deliveries

Retail range delivery charges:

Total value of products £75.01 or more: £15.00 delivery

Total value of products £15.01 - £75: £11.00 delivery

Total value of products up to £15: £7.50 delivery

Trade range delivery charges:

Total value of products £300.01 or more: £75.00 delivery

Total value of products £50.01 - £300: £40.00 delivery

Total value of products £25.01 - £50: £24.00 delivery

Total value of products up to £25: £11.00 delivery

I have been sent the wrong items, what do I do?

Give us a call, if we have made a mistake we'll apologise and send out the correct goods immediately along with pre-paid packaging for the return of the incorrectly supplied items.

I ordered the wrong product and want to return it for exchange with another product, what do I do?

Give us a call, we will process a new order for the correct goods which will need to be paid for in the usual way. You will need to send the original goods back to us; upon receipt of the unwanted items (assuming they are unused and undamaged) we will credit your card to the value of the returned goods. Any return costs of incorrectly ordered or non-faulty products will be the responsibility of the customer and our original delivery charge is non-refundable.

I ordered the wrong product and want to return it for a credit not replacement, what do I do?

Give us a call, let us know that you will be returning the order to us. Upon receipt of the unwanted items (assuming they are unused and undamaged) we will credit your card to the value of the returned goods less a 15% re-stocking charge. Any return costs of incorrectly ordered, unwanted or non-faulty products will be the responsibility of the customer and our original delivery charge is non-refundable.
